This is a great story. I recently bought a Dell laptop, as an added incentive, they gave me a $100 coupon for opening up a credit account with them. I received the laptop and shortly thereafter the coupon arrived.
This past Sunday, I went to Dell.com
and purchased a Panasonic digital camera for $224. I used the coupon to net the purchase at $114. Today, 12/4,
I check the order status on line to find that my order was cancelled.
I immediately called the customer service number. After a lengthly wait, I got a service rep on the line and requested help with my order. He/she checked and low and behold, they did cancel my order because Panasonic no longer makes that model. OK, so I said that was understandable so could I get my coupon back. I was told that my coupon was a one time use only.
They could/would not reinstate the coupon. I went nuts, how can you cancel
the order and take away the coupon.
After 8 repeat 8 reps. Later, I'd finally had enough. I cursed them out,
Closed my account and the hell with Dell.
Never again.
