I cancelled Vonage in May. Since I had never revceived service, I requested my money back. After many, many hours spent waiting for their "service representatives" to help, I continued to be ignored. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Vonage agreed that the money should be refunded. However, they wanted my bank account number to "apply the refund."
I would not give them my new account number because I had to cancel my previous account because Vonage continued to debit it. I contacted them several times and asked them to send a check. They have refused to comply. The service representatives were rude and condescending. I still want my money back. I am a widow with little money and still no home phone. Vonage needs to be held responsible for all the customers they are ripping off!
