I sent my Pavillion DV4000 in to the service center to have a part on the motherboard replaced (the sound on my computer was not working). I sent it in on the 14th of March. They originally told me that I would have it back on the 26th of March. Then HP sent me an email on the 21st saying that there would be a delay in my order. I kept checking the status online to see if they would update the date that I would get it back. They FINALLY updated the status on the 28th (2 days after I was originally told that I would get my computer back). The update said that I wouldn't get my computer back until APRIL 10th. I immediately called and spoke to 3 different people. I explained that I wanted/NEEDED my computer back and that if they had originally told me that it would take SO long that I would NOT have sent it in the first place. I spoke with a gentlemen (Friday the 28th of March) and told him that I wanted my computer back WITHOUT being repaired and to send it to me RIGHT
AWAY!!! He assured me that he would take care of it. I called again on Tuesday April 1st and they said that I should have it within 48 hours (so by Thursday). I called again April 3rd and they said that it has not been shipped out yet, but that it MIGHT go out tomorrow and that I MIGHT have it Monday or Tuesday.in case your not keeping track... That was the 7th or 8th of April. How in the hell does it take a week to put a computer in a box and ship it out???!!! I told them that I did not want it repaired, I just wanted it back. I sent an email to the CEO (April 3rd) about my complaint. I got a call from Nathan (supposedly at the corporate office) the next day saying that he was on the case. Nathan said that he was now assigned to my case and that he was on it. A week later and nothing has been done. They cannot figure out where my computer is. The service center says that they have sent it back, but cannot provide a tracking number. I call every day (sometimes 2 to 3 times a day) and they tell me the same thing. We are looking into it and when we have more information we will get back to you. It is now the 10th of April. I have no computer and becuase HP seems to have lost track of it, until they find it or determine that they lost it (which could be weeks/months from now) I am screwed. This is ABSOLUTELY the WORST service experience I have EVER had. If they knew they had a PART SHORTAGE they should forewarn their customers that it is going to take a long time to get their computer fixed. Or they should warn you that if you send your computer in you may NEVER get it back and since all you can do is call them on the phone you have no recourse.
I am so DISGUSTED with this...
Never buy anything hp unless you like crappy service, no answers and double speak!!!
