They will rip you off in a heartbeat!

On March 1 I went to Seaside computers to check out their deals on, "Lap tops for $499!!!" That day I charged $503.98 to my debit card for a laptop computer, and a printer. I was told I could pick them up the next afternoon (Friday).

The next afternoon (Friday) I went to pick up my computer and printer, and I was told to come back Saturday.

I went back Saturday, and they told me it would be ready to pick up Monday

Monday, I finally pick up my computer, but I was told to come backlater in the week to get the printer.

So, Wednesday March 7 I pick up the printer and drop off the computer for a cd burner upgrade, and I picked it up the next day.

Everything worked great until...

Sunday April 1st my computer would not turn on.

Monday April 2nd I drop the computer off. Later that day I get a call. I was told the mother board went on the computer and they will replace it with a computer of equal likeness. They said they would call me when it was ready to be picked up.

Tuesday April 3rd they call and tell me to come get the computer. I get the computer home and there are no USB ports for; internet connection, printer, camera, etc. The power cord they gave me did not fit the computer, and the cd burner I paid extra for was not installed in this computer. I called down there and they told me to bring it back.

Wednesday April 4th I bring the computer back. I was told they would call me when it was ready.

Thursday April 5th: No call

Friday April 6th: No call

Saturday April 7th: Still no call, so I go down there. I was told the USB was still being soldered on, and it would be ready Monday.

Monday April 9th I waited to see if they would call me, so I wouldn't make another waisted trip. No one ever called.

Tuesday April 10th I pick up the computer. I was told to come back later that week for the battery. I asked before I left to make sure the CD Burner was on there. Was told yes. Got back home, plug it in and it won't turn on because I was given the same power cord that was not compatible with the computer. I look at the cd burner and it says DVD-ROM. I take it back to Seaside Computers. The dumbass appologizes againand gives me the right power cord. I ask AGAIN to be sure about the CD burner. The guy says, "I know it doesn't say it on there, but it is a cd burner." So, I take it home again. Plug it in, turn it on. I try to burn a cd, because at this point I have no confidence in these people, and a window pops up that says, "There is no device capable of burning a cd." I also cannot get an internet connection. I check the internet modem, reset it. I try my camera, NOTHING! So, in the week they had my computer, the only thing they did was install a busted USB card. Nothing was fixed! I had my husband call, because by now I was sick to my stomach thinking about all the money I had just wasted. They told my husband they would do whatever it takes to make things right and told him to have me bring the computer back. I bring the computer back. Told the guy I was done with the whole thing. He told me I would have to call the corporate office to get a refund.

Wednesday April 11th I call the NMB store to get corporate's phone number. I call corporate at 9:30 am and leave a message. No one calls me back.

Thursday April 12th I call corporate at 10:00 am and told them if they did not get back to me by the end of the day I would be calling the Better Business Bureau and my credit card company and they would take action against them. Within an hour they call me back. I told him I wanted a refund. He told me all the work was already done and that he inspected it himself. They were just waiting on a new USB card which would be there in two days. I told him if everything was not exactly as it should be I would be calling him back for a full refund. He said that was fine.

Tuesday April 17th I called to see if the computer was ready. Corporate said two days, I gave them five. I was told the parts were ordered Friday (the day AFTER I spoke with corporate) and the part would not be in until Friday the 20th. I was originally told on April 10th to pick up the battery later in the week and was told on April 12th the USB card had been ordered and would be there in two days. April 4th-April 17th nothing was done, AGAIN!

I am a pretty easy going person, and can truly understand that shit happens. But I was patient with these people for almost two months!!! It was complete insanity! It was a good thing I made this purchase with my Visa check card. I told Visa the whole story. Visa gave me all my money back, and then went after Seaside computers for the refund. I will always use my check card when making big purchases like this! After Visa deposited the money in my account I went to Office Depot and bought a NEW computer, that I have not had any problems with. I also bought a new printer and a vaccuum, all for what I spent on Seaside computer's piece of junk!!!
