Consumer Report

It is one year since I signed the design drawings for the kitchen cabinets and the kitchen is still not complete.

Cabinet drawings that were signed the last week of June with a promise of a 9 week delivery were not installed until the 1st week of Nov.
When the installation occurred, parts were missing; parts were not cut properly, parts were bent, parts where scratched, parts where chipped, the door face was detaching from some drawers, some parts even had traces of paint on it proving it was used as a demo prior, cabinet designs were changed and altered from the original drawing “because he thought it would install faster and wanted to try a different thing”.in addition, the cabinet drawers could not support weight if stainless steel pans and pots.
I complained about all of the above - they returned 2 weeks later walking into my home screaming and yelling that I was being nit picking and when you scan across the kitchen over time you will forget and not see the scratches, chips and bents. I did not purchase chips, scratches, or bents-I purchased a new kitchen. The Lead Franco just looked at me and said “ You purchased basic kitchen and I am no longer listening to you, a word of a woman means nothing to me. I will only talk to your husband from this point forward.” Meanwhile, Franco had no issue working with me, showing me around his shop, creating this over $10K kitchen and taking my money. They fixed most of the damaged items, however the missing items were not addressed. They told me that the stainless steel panels needed time for scheduling and with the holidays approaching, it would be approximately 3 months for their return and completion of the kitchen.
The installation was a mess. Metal shaving where all over the floor, inside the cabinets - they asked if I had a shock vac, I took it out but they never bothered cleaning.
The installation was horrible. Cabinets were not square, cabinets were not level with each other, shelves were not leveled, drawers are twisted, clips were just shoved in - nothing was attached properly. When we went to install the stone countertops, the cabinet collapsed completely separating from the wall.
My husband and I had to completely remove all the base cabinets, got to a metal shop, purchase materials and rebuild the cabinets. When I complained about the collapsing cabinets in which I received an email the 1st week of Feb from the office saying they have put 2 new cabinets on schedule for production and delivery. According the office, all the remainder pieces of the kitchen that was missing from the original purchase was in a box ready for shipment - they were going to wait for the new cabinets that were placed on production and ship them all together and finish the install.
Since March I have called asking about status. All I get as a response is “ We are working on it” and “Two more weeks”. On May 10, I spoke with Franco and he said ” All was ready and we were next on the install schedule after completing this installation - call Monday morning to obtain a firm day for installation”. I called and called and called. No response. I called with my phone number blocked - and surprise - someone picked up. It was Franco. When heard it was me - he hung up the phone. The installer of the company sent me a text on June 26 that he was going to send me all the missing parts via mail on Friday and send me the package list and tracking info. Yet again, I call and no response. I send emails, no response - I cannot go through this again. I waited long enough. It does not take 4 months to fabricate 2 cabinets in their shops.
