Account Emptied of Wife's Checking Over One-Time Payment

I finished a 2yr contract with Direct TV and without authorization they emptied my wife's checking account of all but $4.12. They did this because she made a 1 time payment for me. I had my own debit and Master Card on file for this account. Nobody gave them permission to take any amount from her account.
