I called MyTechHelp, thinking it was Apple, and they basically told me my iPhone had been corrupted, and I would need tech support to look into the matter and download software to clear up the issue. When I spoke with tech support, the woman told me to reset my settings— advice not worth $50.00, not to mention that did not take care of the corruption.
I called back and spoke with another representative, and he muddled around in my computer, which I gave him access to thinking he was an Apple employee. He did not find anything, but did try to sell me an external hard drive and anti-virus software. I clearly did not have a corrupted phone and did not need to download any software.
I called back almost as soon I was off the phone because I couldn't figure out what I had even paid $50.00 for at the end of my conversation with the second technician. That was when I discovered I had not been talking with Apple. I spoke with billing at MyTechHelp, and supposedly should have $25.00 credited to my account, but I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau nonetheless. I suggest anyone who has dealt with this company do the same at (Content Removed). I don't know what will come of my complaint, but at least it's officially documented.
