In hindsight, I realize that my entire business registration process was been delayed because someone needed to make their sales quota, and sold me a business name reservation that I didn't need.
I could have been fine with getting bamboozled had my order been properly handled at that time.instead, Legal Zoom failed to handle my expedited (which I paid extra for) order in a competent fashion by not giving asking me for the right information in a timely fashion:
First, no one said anything about me having to release the name to legal zoom to file with the state.
Then, after I called to follow up with my order, I was told about the release, and to email it. I asked the representative if I should scan a letter with my signature, and was told it was not necessary -just an email would work.
I called back a week later to see why my order was still on hold, and was told I needed to mail in a letter with a signature.
If I had never been tricked into buying a name reservation, or if they would have told me to mail a release letter when I ordered the name reservation, my LLC would have been registered last week.instead, it won't be ready for another four weeks, which is setting my ENTIRE business venture back (since I can't get a fed tax ID, bank account, reseller permit (/negotiate partnerships), etc.
Last week, I filed a complaint about the above and was told someone would call me in the next two business days regarding my request for a refund (regarding the business name reservation which has come to be the bane of my existence). Big surprise, no one called.
Today, I called to follow up and have so far been on hold with various representatives for 40 minutes.
I assume that the staff here is overworked, under-paid and under-trained. The result being completely incompetent service. At the 50 minute mark, I was informed that there was nothing they could do for me. This company SUCKS.
