I filed an LLC with Legal Zoom on Sept. 24th and was told it would take 20 days to complete, even less because NY Clerks Office is pretty quick and not overloaded with work. I received my LLC package 40 days later!!! Not only that but the LLC address clearly stated a Brooklyn Address, however, Legal Zoom filled it as NEW YORK county. Brooklyn is KINGS county! Seriously? The sole purpose of hiring a company to file for you is to avoid the headache of filing one on your own. To make matters worse, I was told by Legal Zoom that I would have to pay additional fees in order to correct a mistake they were supposed to have spotted in the first place. After all, isn't that what professionals are paid to do? They claim I entered New York County but I'm sure I left it blank (This is where they were supposed to do what they get paid to do). Like I said before, the whole point of paying a professional, e.G. Legal Zoom, to file an LLC was to avoid any mistakes in the process! But they're just paid to process. I would not recommend this company. Might as well do it yourself.
