Well about six years ago Dell computers was a great company to get a computer from. But as time go's buy company's like this get to big and can't manage the managment not the staff. I had a Dell once back then. I must say it was a good one but after working for Dell for a year and a half i could not bear it. I am not bragging here but come on, when i have been to school and know more than the techs they hire there must be a problem from with-in.
I couldn't get past being a temp and still others with less than a high school deploma were getting hired permanant. Just with customer and tech support i kept getting the run around. I could not believe that even the techs from such schools as ITT tech didn't know half of what i did. I had to train a tech over the phone that couldn't help me due to his lack of know how or of computers.
I since taken up building my own systems since i can rely on the manufacture warranty to be true. Dell spends more time hiring temps with little to no know how or schooling in manufacturing/tech support. It did seem to me that the right hand doesn't have a clue what the left hand is doing.
Micheal Dell has moved his focus to servers and big corparations were the $ is.in doing so he has forgotten and droped all things it seem towards the daily comsumer. I have seen it with my own two eyes. And heard a lot worse from the inside as well. These so called techs that are working there have no clue half the time of what they are doing or are going to be doing. They just plug and pray that it works when you get it. But sometimes they don't care. Why? They are getting the days pay. 17$ hr. To do slopp. But what can you expect from a company that exploits the Temperary help that it can dump when ever. 6 bad temps to make permanent / 1 good temp let go. That is the ratio.
Unless you kiss some's * or you are sleeping with them. Sad but true. As the TV Guy says it best (Dude! Your getting HELL) so don't buy from DELL.
