My computer went out in less than two years even though I purchased and paid for a four year in home warranty.
I have contacted Dell by phone, and by e-mail, also spent many hours trying to correct the problem with information their Techs. Sent me via e-mail. Dell Techs. Have all sort of excuses. This is a Dell computer, any software was installed before it was shipped to me.
All Ihave asked of Dell is for them to honor the extended warranty that I purchased and get my computer up and running. My computer started going down after the first year, it finally went out completly in Nov. 2006. On Nov 13 a tech. Came and put in a new hard drive, on Nov. 24th. Exactly 9 days my computer went out again. It is very frustrating and very sad that a big company like Dell will take advantage of customers as they have. "Note" I am using my old (5 year) old out of closet dust, system to do this e-mailing. I would like to remain a Dell customer, although I can't aford to purchase a new computer every year. Thank you.
