People be aware, I had no idea that this company took $7.91 from my checking account until I checked balance and this charge was there. I talked to bank clerk right away to find out what this charge was for and was given company name, Payday Resource Center, and phone number, 866-592-6449.
I called this company, only to wait on phone about 10 minutes, listening to testimonials of people that were so pleased with this company. I finally got a girl in customer service. I proceeded to tell her I would like this charge put back into my checking account and she said she could not do anything about it. I asked her to get a person of authority I could talk to and this person told me the same thing and if I wanted my money back I should go to the police and file a report of fraudulent funds being taken out. I told her that I am reporting their company to bank to get money back and she hung up the phone on me.
This is a terrible thing because I am disabled and difficult to get to bank all the time. Now I have to make a special trip to bank to close out my checking account because this ripoff company has my checking account number and could easily do this again. It is so upsetting that anyone should have to deal with dishonest companies that want to take money from people, especially like I am on a fixed income.
I have no idea how they got my information, but I hope this report helps other people to not have the same problem.
