I purchase a new system from HP, as I started to use the system I noticed it was locking up as I scrolled with the mouse pad, at first I thought I was doing something wrong. I double checked ran their diagnostics, called their support center was given the run around, finaly wound up shipping the system back under warranty. Part two of the nightmare the system was not shipped back within 4 or 5 days when I checked it was going to be two weeks later also confirmed by their web site, well that date came and passed still being given the runaround with no definitive answer. I finaly complained to HP Presidents office Mark Hurd and was assigned a case manager he said the DV8000T needed a motherboard and it was back ordered, with a due date that came and passed when I contacted HP once again the case manager was busy and the assistant could not provide me with any updated information still waiting for the case manager to call back with updated information.in the meantime I am being denied use for a product that I purchased in good faith and that I am being denied use of, secondly they are eating up my new system warranty while I am without a system.
If you plan to buy a notebook check the service record of the company you plan to deal with. HP use to be a great company I used to sell for them in Major Accounts, they are not anymore.
Now it is take the money and run and the customer is wrong.
