I have had a very frustrating experience with this company. (HP) I purchase a CompaqPresario notebook in late June of last year. Sometime in December, I had trouble with the charger. I contacted their chat support and was issued a replacement. About 2 weeks ago the charger stopped working again. Again, I contacted the same department. Only this time, they said that the warranty has expired. I thought the warranty was for a year and they said yes but according to their system my warranty period was from Dec. I said I bought the computer in June. Apparently, the information on their system is wrong. I was referred to their hp. Pop department to update the warranty. I sent them proof of purchase, copies of email between me, Amazon and the company I bought it from. They responded that these documents are not recognized by their system because it did not contain payment information. I then sent a copy of a receipt that I received from Amazon with the payment information which for all intent and purposes contained everything that they needed to update the warranty information on their end. It's been 3 days and I haven't heard from them. I contacted their customer service (chat) and this has not been a pleasant either. I already feel that I am being given a runaround especially when I was told to fax it this time. I wonder what they would ask for next? I asked them if they have an address to mail it too because I was afraid that they would ask for that next just to prolong this ordeal. Sadly, they didn't have this information. This is very unfortunate. A good company should provide better products and services in order to survive.
