Ripoff won't send me a working computer and won't respond

I received a Dell computer in July. From the beginning it was giving me the blue screen of death, even when just booting up. I finally got them to send me a new computer, one that wasn't supposed to be refurbished; however, the hard drive had files from someone in the past, the system tools didn't work and the DVD drive wrote files wrongly - a few small files would fill a brand new CD, and many more problems.

After several complaints, being verbally abused by someone in Round Rock, 4 reformats, etc. I got another replacement computer; this time it was defined as a refurbished computer. It came missing components and with the wrong programs and when I called they kept me on the phone for ages, and refused to get off even though a family emergency came up at the time. To make matters worse the disk defragmenter on this new computer doesn't work, it won't boot up at times freezing at the Dell logo page with F2=setup F12=Boot Menu, doesn't think there is a modem at times, loses desktop icons, won't let me access some programs some of the time and says programs are running when they're not, etc. I've called tech support and emailed tech support and they've not responded at all, except to get the missing DVD installed. I've only had this computer 2 weeks and barely on it as not home much and Dell is not responding to me at all on this bad computer.

I had also made it clear to Dell when I got them to agree to switch-out that they would hold the computer somewhere and run it to check for bugs and they didn't do that. Also, they were supposed to notify me before sending and didn't.

The Better Business Bureau in Austin doesn't seem to be doing anything; I've not even been given the courtesy of even a reply from the Texas Attorney General or Dell, Inc. To whom I've sent at least three letters
