Our warranty is still in effect, but you would never know it! The phone technician at Alienware "diagnosed" a bad motherboard &, after taking our charge card information, shipped a new motherboard.
Technician #1 was sent to our house and took the computer for 3 days. He returned the computer with the new motherboard installedand reported that the power supply was the problem.
The old motherboard was shipped back to Alienware, a new power supply was requested, and we again provided our charge card information. They then shipped a new power supply.
Technician #2 was sent to our house installed the new power supply which took 3 hours & then determined that Technician #1 put the new motherboard back in the computer incorrectly. We can't physically plug anything into the back of the computer & we're afraid Technician #1 has broken additional parts.
Alienware now wants e-mailed photos of the damage (the same day Technician #2 was at our house), is sending us a FedEx shipping label, & refuses to pay for any packaging costs to send our computer back for repairs.
Look out, Alienware - we're reporting you to the Better Business Bureau in Florida, and the State Attorney General offices in Florida & New York! Any attorneys out there interested in a class action?
