AOL 9.0 Optimizes A Big Joke
Ripoff

I have been a customer of AOL for some time now. I was in shock over this last problem I had with them
They sent me the new AOL 9.0 Optimize. With a free trial I was already a member but they told me I could still get a free trial. But they needed my credit card number or checking account number. Now they do not mention they would take out an additional 5.00 for that service.
I could have Road Runner and AOL for 14.95. I told them I really didn't need two internet services. But they said they would give me 3 months. Out of the 3 months they billed me for two. Refunding those but they were not happy about it.

Now for some reason the new 9.0 acted like a big virus in my computer. It took for ever to load then when I finally got it on my system crashed on. With help of a friend we got it back up and running. However, it still caused a big mess in my computer.

I took everything out and called AOL to CANCEL. That was a joke. I got some Indian for India who sounded like he never heard of the problem I was having.
I told him I wanted to cancel AOL. He promised me yet another month free to give it "One more chance". I said "Okay".

Well, needless to say it still would not load. So I called again to cancel after I realized that they had taken out 19.95. And then 6.70. Because I have broadband though an old company they no longer do business. I am praying that this doesn't cause hevic with my checking again.

When I call to get a refund they said I wasn't entitled to one. Because I had used 1000 hours over my limit. I told them the software hadn't been installed for sometime.
The only thing I can think of is I did use AIM to chat. Now if they are charging members to chat that is wrong.
Bottom line is... Their is nothing free about their "free trail". And I wouldn't recommend AOL to anyone for internet service.
