I bought the orignal computer from Dell on 5/18/03, in the month of February the fan on the tower of the computer had failed, which caused the wires in the computer to get hot and cause a shortage, which lead to smoking of the computer, I called Dell Technical Support they gave me instructions to open the computer and describe what I saw and what happened, they said the computer was defective and sent me a replacement as I sent the defected one back. About a month after I received the replacement in April, the same exact thing happened to the computer, only this time, we didnt catch the smoking on time and the tower of the computer caught fire and by the time we tried to get the fire out, the whole computer, printer, web camera and my desk was in flames and damaged completely.
I have been trying to get a credit to my Dell account for their defective equipment catching fire and not only damaging the computer, but my other computer equipment. I can never get through to someone who can help me, they are all foreign and cant understand me, so the story is never straight with them and they refuse to help. They have told me for the past 9 months that there is absolutely nothing they can do. All I am asking is for a credit for the computer.
