In december I called up an 1-800 number to order this speeding reading cd & music cds. When I first called up they told me that I would pay a shipping and handling fee of 14.95 and have the equitment free for 30 days, which I did.
But after 30 days I would get charged 3 payments of 65.00. After 30 days I assumed I got billed for the 65.00, but when i went to check my bank account statement I noticed on 1/25/05 that Eye-Q Infiniate minds withdrew 266.60. This caused my checking account to encounter many over draft fees and three bounced check. Seeing how it was Saturday I couldn't do anything about this until monday 1/31/05.
When Monday came I called up Eye-Q 1-888-796-4747 at 11am and told them what happened in a very nice polite way and they said they would take care of it and to mail in a statement to prove to them that there over withdrawn fee was the reason of all my overdraft fees and they will look into it further. Also they said my payment was 65.50 not 65.00. On wed when I had time i finally got to HSBC to get a statement and I noticed on the statement that Eye-Q hadn't placed the money back into my account and my pay roll check had been deposited.
So after I went to the bank I called up HSBC and told them what happened and had them file and unauthorized with drawn form. So I then called the company again around 11am on wed to find out no they had not taken care of the problem because there superivor was not in, and when I was on the phone the customers service person told me that I had 4 payments of 65.55, this made me more upset and I told him that if I knew that when i signed up in Dec that I would have 4 payments of 65.55 I would not have minded to pay it, but since it was after the fact that I didn't think I agreed to pay 4 payments of 65.55 only three payments of 65.00.
They did take off the third payment, but while I was on the phone with them, they said that the money was going into my account. On thursday at 3pm I called up HSBC again to see if the money went through and they said the had only recieved my one deposit, so then I called Eye-Q again and they said that the payment wasn't going to go through until the next day. This has made it very impossible for me to kept my other payments on time, and the fact that they kept charing an extra. 5 every time I call. The program works great, but with this frustration I am not sure how worth it, it is to keep.
