AKA Skillsoft SmartCertify AKA Skillsoft made fraudulent claims to me

Hello to all.

The following is only a fraction of what I have to say about this company. But due to the fact I will more than likely have to enter in to a lawsuit with them, I dont want to give away everything that is in my hand...

Here is how they committed fraud;

I SPECIFICALLY asked if they provided Microsoft AUTHORIZED curriculum/certification exam prep. Material. The salesman responded with a definite, "yes, " to this question.in fact, he went on to say that not only were they authorized providers for Microsoft, their expertise was such that Microsoft used their material to train their own employees!

Wow, I thought... If Microsoft uses them to train Microsoft employees, then surely I can trust them to train me! Right?

WRONG! I have called Microsoft numerous times... Each time they knew nothing of this claim. Nor could they find that Smartcertify or Skillsoft, their parent company, was ever authorized to provide any curriculum or training from Microsoft.

Folks, just because a company has the MCP logo doesnt mean they are qualified to provide Microsoft Authorized curriculum or Certification exam prep. Courses.

Anyway, I have also called their customer support, laid out my case that I have be defrauded, etc... The lady I spoke to said she would have to review the conversation that was recorded between the salesperson and myself.

Approx. 2 days later she got back in touch with me. NOT once did she deny I had asked specifically for Microsoft authorized material, nor the fact that the salesperson led me to believe they were Microsoft authorized. Her response was that she can she how I might have misinterpreted what the salesman meant... Can you believe that? What a crock!

She tried very hard to skate around the "authorized" issue, and went on to tell me how great their product was... How many people have had sucesss. Blah, blah, blah. And that if I was serious about my IT training, I would... Blah, blah, blah... You get the picture?

I responded by saying I simply didnt have the time nor desire to fool around with UNauthorized providers... I wanted what I specifically asked for. Period. I told her I wanted a refund of my money, less the intial $500.00 downpayment. I figure I should have to pay a "stupidity" fee for not calling Microsoft first. And if it werent for the extreme high pressure sales tactics they used I would have..

I should probably stop now... If they refuse to refund my money, I am definitely going to file a lawsuit... And every other kind of complaint I possibly can.

Does anyone know if I can be sued for slander or anything else if distribute this across the internet... Places like blogs, forums, etc... I belong to a lot of such places with fellow techs, future and present IT professionals... And perhaps it would help them to not fall for the underhanded, fraudulent tactics that this company uses to steal your money.
