My husband has been on the same medication for the past 3 years. A Month ago my husband was to pick up his refill on his medication, well when he got there the pharmacy told him that he will be only getting 60 of his 120 tablets of his medication, my husband asked them why and they said "oh 60 tablets is all you have ever gotten you have never got 120"
My husband told them "I get 120 tablets every month and get 3 refills". The pharmacy called my husband a liar, so he called me at home and had me fax his original prescription bottle to them, to show them the quanity and the number of refills on the bottle. It was taken care of that day. But today my husband took his written prescriptions from the doctor to Walgreens to have his medication filled. He got Home to find out out of 120 tablets they only gave him 30 along with a note saying Walgreens felt he did not need them!!! Again we called walgreens and told them my husband had a written prescription of 120 tablets, AGAIN they called my husband a liar, thankfully when you visit your doctor they take a photcopy of your prescriptions, my husband had the doctor fax a copy of the prescripion to Walgreens, and everything was worked out.
But the doctor was very upset at walgreens and said they have a habit of doing this and for my husband to change from walgreens to another pharmacy. Why does Walgreens feel they need to play Doctor! I know of other family members that say the same thing with this walgreens, they take a prescription and walgreens will alter it or tell the patient you don't need this medicine.
Who does walgreens think they are? I feel that FDA should look into this walgreens I mean are they stealing someones meds and trying to get away with it? Or do they feel just because they dispense drugs they are qualified to say who needs to take it and who does not. Wrong
