On September 3rd, my friend and I went to Best Buy to buy a cable modem. I had two coupons with me for 10% off my purchase at Best Buy for that weekend only.
The store in Portage, Michigan refused the coupon. We bought the product anyway. I e-mailed Best Buy customer service. TJ responded and said they would send out a gift card. I responded back saying the 10% off was for cash off. It was NOT for 10% off in the form of a gift card!
Best Buy is very sneaky. This is consumer fraud. They have a coupon, don't honor it, and then if their corporate office is questioned on it, they just offer you a gift card.
