I Bought a 42" samsung Plasma Tv 2 years ago from our local best buy. We payed $1000.00 we also purchased a 4 year warranty. Well the tv lasted 2 years the geek boys looked at the TV said they would fix it if the part was available, turns out the part was discontinued. I was advised by a gentelman fron the MN office by phone with a conformation number to return the TV back to the store and exchange it for a comparable TV. Well it was not what i exspected there customer service was horrible thank god i kept my voice message with the conformation number at first they could'nt find it asked me if i had it mixed up becuase there conformation numbers dont have alpha letters in it I handed this girl the phone and she relized it did infact have alpha letters. Big hassle for this employee. They sent me to the back of the store and a tv rep told me that it this samsung 42" tv was the replacement. First off the TV was $539.00 and didnt have half the HDMI, Component RC or AV inputs as the other TV, its seems to me that there policy is screwed up I understand a tv depreciates some but Best Buy just Takes your money and gives you a false sense of security $400.00 for a extended warranty so i paid roughly $1600.00 for a TV that costs $539.00 also asked about my extended warranty 1 1/2 years remaining i was told at first it was transferable get to the customer service counter and they tell me its NOT because the Skew numbers are different BS you know whats funny about all this, i went of to war and i am disabled (wheelchair) i felt screwed buy our country however now i feel really screwed.
