I needed to make a claim due to my phone needing replacement. I went to Verizon and I was given an info sheet that states the coverage information. 4.49$ per month and a 39$ deductible.
I bought a phone 18 months ago and since then have been paying $4.99 per month for my "insurance". This is the first time I have needed them and when I called to make a claim I was told the deductible is $50.00.
I stated thats not the info I recived from Verizon. She stated that the rates just went down last week and only NEW contracts follow those rules.
I'm trying very hard to understand this! So, since I have been paying MORE per month, for almost 2 years... I now OWE a HIGHER deductible for an OLDER PHONE?!!?? They don't even SELL MY PHONE ANYMORE!
I pissed moaned and groaned to the lady and she didn't seem to care, because well, she can't do anthing anyway! However, I did leave dirty feedback and asked then to contact me to talk about it. We'll see what happens.
