I received an email from Apple encouraging me to purchase an extended warranty on my iPod. I decided to take them up on it and followed the instructions in the email and ordered the warranty online. A box came in the mail with instructions for registering the extended warranty. When I tried I was told there was a problem and that I could call an Apple 800 number. When I called I was told that my iPod was too old to register an extended warranty. I said, fine give me my money back. I was given a royal run around and finally irritated I asked to speak to a manager. Finally I was told that I would have the $61 added back to my credit card. That was Feb, 08. It is now June, 08 and I have never seen my $61.
To send me an email asking me to extend my iPod warranty and waiting until after I sent them money to check to see if my iPod was too old is an awful business practice. Then to then nearly refuse to refund my money and then after promising to refund my money to never send my refund is fraud.
I will never buy an Apple product again. I started with the $1000 I has set aside to buy a new MAC to replace my G4. I bought a nice Toshiba with it instead and had money to spare. They stole my $61 but they will never get another dollar from me.
