Rebates are valid and will be sent... But still not paid (9 months later)

Background:
Product Purchased: PSVO-600 XG Vortec Power Supply
Purchase Date: Between 6/12 and 6/18
Mail Rebate in by: Within 30 days of purchase... No later than 7/18
Promised Processing Time: 12 Weeks
Offer #'s: 11029 & 11030
Value: $25 each (total $50)

Rebates were processed correctly and validated by MGE Company, but they keep postponing one thing or another... The email correspondance between us is as follows:

I sent an email just over a week ago regarding the status on this rebate and have not yet received a response. I was wondering what the status was on this rebate - Rebate # XXXXX. It was sent in the proper time frame and with the proper documentation according to the rebate form. I have copies of all of it if any verification is needed. Please respond with the status.

This is now my 3rd time inquiring about the status on my rebate checks. You originally promised 12 weeks... Then 6-8 more weeks, and then 4 more weeks... It has now been SIX MONTHS since the end of the promotion period and I still do not have my rebate checks as you have promised. This is outrageous. Please send my rebate checks promptly. I feel I have been patient enough.

You can still expect to wait an additional two weeks for the rebate checks on offers #XXXXXX & #XXXXX to be mailed. The notes were updated to let the rebate manager know that you've made several inquiries on this matter. MGE does intend to honor and pay these rebates. Presently, I can't provide a definitive timeline as to when you can expect to receive the checks. If you would like to follow up in 2 weeks, we'll be able to affirm the date as to when the checks will be mailed. Thanks again for your sincere patience.

NO, I will not wait an additional 2 and a half weeks. You originally promised 12 weeks to process and mail the rebate checks, which is already excessive compared to most companies. It has now been 6 months. I have waited patiently, but now I believe you are just fraudulent in your offer. I am aware of other companies that "unfairly unilaterally extended the time period in which it would deliver the rebates, without consumers agreeing to the time extension." I already have emails and letters printed and ready to be sent to the FTC, and the Better Business Bureau. I am also ready to add complaints to usacomplaints.com, and other sites to expose the problems with your rebate processing. Please send my checks promptly - NOT IN TWO AND A HALF WEEKS!!!

Please let me know the status of my rebate checks... I was told they would be mailed out on January 23 and to allow a few days for delivery. That was over 2 weeks ago. When I checked the rebate status on your website, it shows that the checks have been printed. Have they been mailed out yet?

Do you think I've been patient enough? I have since filed a complaint with the FTC and the BBB and have contacted a local news station that likes to investigate stupid companies like this. I'm not stupid... I know how to submit a rebate. I know it's only $50, but it's still my money. They promised me only 12 weeks... And now it's been almost 8 months (over 48 weeks). This is outrageous.

The interesting thing is when I search for a status update on their website, it says that the checks were printed on January 2... I've done enough rebates to know that those checks often have an expiration date (they must be cashed within 30,60, or sometimes 90 days). This date is based on the check print date. So now what? Are they going to mail it to me after the expiration date or even the day before (with the time to actually travel through mail, the expiration date would then pass).

AHHHHH!!! I will never do any rebates with that company again. I've never had a problem with a single rebate before and I've done about 40 of them over the last 7 years.

Please let me know where else I can add my complaints!!!
