I was a customer with Cricket Communications for over five years. This past month, I paid my bill online with a credit card. The next day, my service was suspended. I called their obnoxious automated system, and the payment never showed up. I tried and tried and tried to talk to an actual human being, and could not do so. So I called another number, and the individual I spoke to refused to help me and tried to refer me to the automated system again. I explained that I needed to speak to a person, and she told me that I would need to visit (I loathe that term) a Cricket store.
The problem with that is, it's Sunday, and they are not open. I am also an hour away from a Cricket store. I needed this problem fixed TODAY. The woman rudely told me that she could not help me. So tommorow, Monday, I will travel the hour to a Cricket store, with my invoice showing that I paid the bill. I will tell them to credit back my card, and order that the service be terminated at once. I cannot express in words how upset I am, as this is not the first time this has happened.
If these fools do not credit back my account at once, I will instruct my lawyer to begin proceedings against them. And, being in law enforcement, I will see if I can have the company charged with theft, if it's possible. I know the theft angle might be a longshot, but it's worth a try. This company has ripped off countless people in the past, and I am fed up with it. If you are considering cellular phone service, steer clear of Cricket Communications!
