I hope this serves warning to anyone contemplating ordering from this company as the manner in which my situation has been treated by this company is totally unacceptable.
Well, I am from London, U.K. This bizzare state of affairs started back in August.
I own a Sony Playstation 2 and most owners will agree that over time the laser will deteriorate and fail to read certain Blue Ps2 Discs but not the ordinary recent versions. If it were up to Sony they would have you stump up 70 for a reconditioned unit or buy the new Ps3. However an internet based company called RichsPsxparts.com boast that they can supply parts for your Ps2 (or Ps1 for that matter) without the necessity of having to go out and shell out for a new machine or even junk your existing model.
Now I have bought a part from this company before around 2-3 years back and can honestly say that I had a good experience with them, but this time round the experience has been anything but pleasant.
Back in August this year an order was placed by me with Richspsxparts for a Ps2 version one Laser part. I paid using Paypal $49.95 and I was also quite happy with the transaction as the company offers free shipping on International Orders. I recieved a confirmation on 7th August from paypal saying:
"This email confirms that you have paid RichsPSXParts.com$49.95 USD using PayPal."
Fine I am thinking it will arrive to the U. K in a few weeks...
Guess what?..
It did'nt arrive in a few weeks...
It did not arrive a month later...
It did not arrive TWO months later...
Yep, I am still waiting.:-/
The confirmation from Paypal was the only thing regarding the item that I had seen so far, I had no info from Richpsxparts on whether the item had been shipped to the U. K or whether there was a delay to my order as there was a slight disruption to our postal service here.
Worried now after not seeing anything materialise for 6 weeks I contacted Paypal via email to ask them if they could investigate and thy told me as the transaction was over a certain amount of days they would not be looking into it for me (thanks Paypal!). I then contacted the source of my problem Richpsxparts via the 'LivePerson' facility on the site as to the situation of my order stating:
" Listen up
I ordered a Ps2 laser from this site in AUGUST. It is now SEPTEMBER and I would like to know what has happened to my part? Please resolve issue or refund me the money back as you taken payment for something
you have not sent."
What I recieved back from them was Quote:
"Do you have the order number?
Laser. For a PS2? Xbox?
Thanks,
RIch"
Well inactual fact it was not September as I had originally stated, but that email was sent and responded to on the 2nd of OCTOBER!..
After that nothing was emailed to me...
No info, no apology...
Nothing...
Nada...
Nish!
I have since sent them on more than one occassion emails along with payment Requests from Paypal to either return my money or sort out the situation. The result?..
Blanket response I have recieved nothing from this company to say that they are sorry or to indicate that they are going to give me my money back and I think it is a gross injustice to just rip me off not send me the goods I paid for in good faith and carry on business as usual.
It may only be a small item but the fact is I am not a highly paid executive who can just chuck money away like that. I could have bought my family something else with the cash or put it towards Christmas but it seems companies like these because they are web based they do not need to justify themselves to anyone.
Well I don't think they believed me when I sent them an email a few days back asking them yet again to take responsive action, after I have posted this I hope they realise that I am not kidding around and I intend to pursue them further if they continue with this in-action. This is the first step if I don't get a resolve more will follow!
So I emplore you please be WARNED and BEWARE of RichsPsxparts.com and keep your money in your pocket!
