Motorola Cell Phones Selling defective Razor VC3 Cell Phones Ripoff

I would like to tell you a little story about three very big companies. It starts off like this; consumer (me) purchases a very expensive Motorola Razor VC3 cell phone ($399) from Cricket Communications. He (me) purchased insurance through Asurion. Then six months later the phone stops working, Motorola and Cricket come to the conclusion it was moisture damage caused by the consumer (me).

Well duh! After all I need to hold the phone up to my ear in order to use the phone. Ear sweats = moisture. I would think that Motorola could fix this problem, but then it would lose out in millions of dollars of replacement revenue. I had to pay $45 for a replacement phone. I had about $15-20 worth of downloaded games on my phone, but Cricket refused to give me credit on them. Two weeks later and another $20 worth of downloaded games the phone stops working again. Again, I took it in to the Arrowhead Cricket store.

First of the people working at Cricket could use a good lesson in customer service. They are cold and rude whenever dealing with then on the phone or in person. Reluctantly, Cricket issued me a new Razor cell phone, but would not again credit me for my downloaded games. If your paying attention to the math that's $40 I'm out in downloaded games.

Well folks guess what? Three months later the phone won't take a charge. Again, I take it into Cricket and this time they tell me it's out of warranty, but lucky me I have cell phone insurance through Asurion. Cricket tells me and I quote, it's not a Cricket problem and if I wanted to replace my phone I would have go though Asurion. I called Asurion and they sent me another Razor. 24 hours after receiving my phone, my new phone won't take a charge. This time I must send the phone back first before they can issue me a new phone.

I should receive my new phone in 24 hours after I shipped the old/new phone back. This was on Monday and my phone should arrive on Tuesday. Which means I'm without a phone for 24 hours. Well, the next day comes and goes and still no phone. I called Asurion and they assured me it would arrive on Wednesday. Wednesday come and still no phone. I called Asurion again, and they said Monday at the latest. Meanwhile I've been without my phone for three days by now.

If I wanted it by Friday I was going to cost me $10 to over night it. I screamed bloody murder and they where so kind to not charge me the $10 to over night it. Finally I get my phone on Friday and by Sunday the phone again will not take a charge. Asurion will not take responsibility, Cricket will not take responsibility and Motorola will not take responsibility. I was wondering if anyone out there is experiencing the same thing as I am? At this point I want a new and different cell phone. Stay tuned to see how these companies are going to handle this problem.
