I had used dish network for apr. 8 years. I over looked everytime the smallest shower came along the satelite went out. But after a tropical storm came through and knocked the dish off course and i was unable to get it set right i called customer service.
They said because i did not purchase the maintence package they would have to charge me 75dollars to come out and fix it. They would not even give me any pointers over the phone. They also said it would be aweek or two before they could get out here to fix it but i would still have to pay even though i didn't have any service. I then told them to disconnect my service.
I called direct tv immediately. They had me hooked up within a week and i do noy have to worry about losing service unless the weather is really bad. Not to mention in the 2 years i have had direct tv my bill has not gone up once. With dish network my bill went up every month for some reason and i never changed my service or ordered anything off pay per view.
