We used Dish Network for many years without problems. Then I had a sales guy call in my native language, who convinced me to switch to Direct TV. BIG mistake! First of all, they don't have Dish's split box technology, so you have to pay for one extra box ($100 more for installation) and $10 extra per month). When I found that out from the subcontractor installers, I told them I was not told that, so I have to talk to the company to figure out what to do. I complained to Direct TV about the extra charge, told them I am very unhappy with the installers. Direct TV rep was very rude to me, so I called customer service to cancel. Customer service manager (!) was just as rude, if not worse. I returned the dishes as they instructed, only to receive a bill a month later. I called, asking them if they received my returned dish. Yes, they said. So how was I to pay for their service if I don't have their dish??? This company is a complete scam! If you want satellite, Dish Network is SO much better!!!
