I originally signed up for this service so I could just check out my credit score. Boy was I in for a small surprise about three weeks after I called and cancelled my account.
I went online to check out my Mastercard billing (something I do quite frequently normally) a little longer than I usually wait to check it. The scare of identity theft has me checking my credit card balance and charges often.
When I got to the "unbilled" charges I found that CIC Triple Advantage was charging me $12.00. This was a little odd because I had called and cancelled my account in the middle of September.
Yesterday I sent CIC a very stern, direct and demanding e-mail that my account be cancelled "Immediately" and that the $12.00 charge be reversed on my mastercard.
To my surprise, they replied to my e-mail later yesterday saying "they were sorry to see me go" and "no further membership charges
would be charged to my card, but nothing about reversing the charge.
I will attempt to regain my membership charge again with a phone call. I somehow believe that I will be wasting my breath. If they would have just cancelled the membership when originally requested none of this would be necessary.
If I had not seen a link to this website while I was searching them out in Google, I would not be here telling you my story.
Just like Dawn from Tulsa, Oklahoma, I am still a little leary that this company will try and continue to charge my credit card.
