Ridgid's Lifetime Warranty is a joke. I purchased a cordless power tool kit with a Lifetime Warranty on the batteries. I mailed in all the appropriate documentation and kept the original receipt. I just called to obtain a replacement battery and was told "I was not in their system" and I could not obtain a replacement. The rep. Stated that they must not of received my information, "they are not responsible for the U.S. Postal system".
I have the original receipt, the UBC code from the original box, the actual Home Depot ad from when I purchased the tools, but still cannot get a replacement. This is terrible customer service and I would recommend buying tools from a company that actually cares about its customers and honors its warranty. I have been a very loyal Ridgid tool customer, but now I will check customer reviews and buy from a different company. I read has great warranty service!
Sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company. Plus, if you post a competitors name more than likely they will show up on search engines as a Rip-off! - - your comments on this policy are welcome.
