We received very poor customer service and delivery of our appliances we purchased at Sears. We purchased a washer, dryer, microwave and refrigerator. They were all to be delivered on our move into our new house. The delivery people came with everything except the refrigerator&was told it was not scheduled on the delivery list.
I made several attempts to contact the sales people at Sears that day. Everyone I talked to would put me through to someone else—I would explain the problem and they would put someone else on the phone. It got to the point where they just hung up on me. Talked to the delivery person and they told me the refrigerator would not come till later in the week.
Not acceptable to me—we were in our new house with a 17 month old baby and also I am pregnant—with no refrigerator for a week. Finally we paid a visit to Sears to complain and were told that the refrigerator we originally ordered was defected (first time we heard about that) and they would have to order a new one.
The salesperson did not care that there was a baby and one on the way and that we were already living in the house. She even indicated that being pregnant was not a consideration in that “WE ALL WENT THROUGH IT”. How inconsiderate and arrogant.insisted there was no way that a different refrigerator could be delivered the next day.
Finally we came to an agreement to get a refrigerator that was a floor model and a little more updated then the original one we purchased and Sears would not charge us the difference. Hooray&so we thought. That refrigerator was delivered DAMAGED —imagine that.
Now Sears had to get us a new one that was to be delivered the next day. Turns out when the delivery people came the next day they had the original refrigerator and not the upgraded one agreed on. So we were not compensated at all for all the problems we had but Sears made out just fine!!!
There was no CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Just a run around by all the SEARS associates we dealt with.
We will never purchase from sears again.
