In August 2010 I ordered personally from Jerry Collins a $518 cooling unit for repairing my RV refrigerator. I paid via Paypal and e-mailed him a confirmation and my shipping address as he instructed. The advertising stated shipment would take place the next day.
When I had received no order confirmation and the unit had not arrived in two weeks I started calling the business. Repeatedly I left messages with employees and these calls were not returned. Once I located Jerry on his cell phone and he promised to call me back but did not.
When I got tired of waiting I researched this company at Better Business Bureau (6 complaints) and on usacomplaints.com (4 reports) and realized I was really in trouble with this transaction and just wanted my money back. At this time it almost 6 weeks after the order was placed.
Fortunately I had paid through Paypal so I filed a complaint and an immediate claim to have my money refunded. Jerry Collins called me twice by 6 am the next morning. He apologized and offered to ship the unit immediately and extend the warranty another year. I felt the warranty would be worthless and only extend my grief.
After waiting a week Paypal issued a full refund to my credit card after they received no response from Jerry.
