I bought an RV cooling unit from Jerry @ NuCold Refrigeration, 220 Sardis Rd, Morrilton, AR. 72110-9211 in October with a 2 year warranty via the Internet. On 02/02 that cooling unit failed. I called Jerry and he offered another cooling unit to us @ price, $264.00, because the warranty had run out by only about 3 months. Which we thought was outstanding!

He shipped one Ser.#506156, for model #NDR 1062, saying it would be there in 3-5 days. It didnt arrive, in 3-5 days, I called & called for 2 weeks, he wouldnt give me a tracking #, only excuses. It arrived 2 weeks to the day, (2/16/10) he said it would ship. I installed the cooling unit on 2/16/10, put the refrigerator back into its spot in the motor home & left it sit over night. On 2/17/10, I finished hooking up the gas & electric, about noon, I plugged it in & by 4PM on the 17th it was 0 degrees in the freezer, the refrigerator, was the same as the outside temperature, 42 degrees. When I opened the refrigerator door, there was a smell of ammonia. I left the refrigerator run over night, by 10AM the next morning, when I opened the refrigerator door, the ammonia set off the alarms in the motor home. I turned off the refrigerator, the unit Jerry had sent, was defective. (leaking ammonia) I called Jerry, He said you he would send another unit. This was on 2/18/10. On the 12th of March, my cell phone had shown I had called Jerry 24 times. With nothing but excuses, if he did answer. Most of the time he would not answer. On the 12Th of March I emailed Jerry a threatening email, saying I would turn him into the Better Business Bureau, my credit card company, take him to small claims court, call the sheriff, & etc. I, also, asked him if this could be resolved on good terms or bad, his choice. Within 3 minutes my cell phone rang, it was Jerry, saying he did not want to do business with a person like me, he would refund my money, either send a personal check to me or put it back into my credit card account. So, after 3 weeks we find out he had no intention of sending another cooling unit!!! I said to Jerry that would be fine. Later that day I sent Jerry an email saying to put the money back into our credit card account. On 3/17/10, I sent him an email stating I have received the complaint papers from the credit card company, should I fill them out? He sent me an email saying he had already put the money into our account.

As of 3/29/10 Jerry @ NuCold Refrigeration has not returned our money or sent a replacement unit. He has not returned any phone calls or emails. Any help you could give me on recvering our money would be very much appreciated. We left Rochester, MN. On January 26th, arrived in Tucson AZ. On the 30th of January. We stayed in Tucson one extra week hoping he had sent the cooling unit. We left for Mesa, AZ March 8th, causing us to now pay rent by the week instead of by the month, which is double the cost. We stayed in Mesa, AZ. Until the 22nd of March, and now, back home in Rochester. Jerry and his team @ NuCold Refrigeration completely destroyed our winter vacation all by themselves!!
