I have read the other rip off reports and I must admit that at first I did not think they were true. My fmailies own personal experiance with this company and its staff have been horrific and full of lies by them. It took them over 6 months to get our project to the point that we could use the pool, but not finished.
First off the owner and Salesman, Gary Ross, is a liar and when confronted with short comings in his designs always tried to blame them on "our inability to understand", myself being a construction engineer I understood it great! What I witnessed was a very small construction project that was being conducted and overseen by people with little or no construction knowledge, the turnover rate within the project management area was 3-4 times in a six month period, every project manager (4 of them) or operations manager (2 of them) showed a lack of communication skills and general basic construction knowledge, as a result I had to manage my own project to ensure that the level of workmanship was at least acceptable.
What I was impressed with was the Town of Flower Mound's Building Inspections Department, I spoke with many of them during their visits to my yard to inspect the pool and they all had a great grasp of the UBC codes and and their standards were high, several of them advised me that they were aware of problems with my builder but assured me that they would not waiver in their standards.
The stories that I read about this company and its poor financial positions seemed to me to bear truth, most of the sub contractors I spoke with on my job admitted that the builder owed them a lot of money, electricians, plumbers and masonry workers, etc.
Mr. Ross is a very good salesman, after that there is nothing, he will tell you one thing and then put something in the contract that is different, and then they approach you with additional charges later in the process, to put it mildly, do not take Mr. Ross for his word because its no good.
If you are considering this company because he has outbid the next guy do not trust it, you will be dissapointed later.
