Is it just me or do all these negative reports sound like the same individual with the same axe to grind on each outline. My experience with this company was great, the workmanship was excellent and the finish project was what was promised. I cannot say that my experience with the people in the field was the best but whenever I involved Mr. Ross, he was always true to his word and follow through, though owning a business myself and understanding the difficulties of trying to do everyone's job plus your own I do think Mr. Ross was let down in many areas and I suspect this has much to do with the loss of this organization.
I have also heard from good sources (close friends) that when Outback Design folded, other local pool organizations immediately raised their prices by as much as $3000 on a standard pool. I believe I received more value for my money then I was offered from any other builder and I think these rumors suggest that Outback Design was working to bring more to this area then just a high price.
I think it's very easy to judge and very easy to claim poor me, I have been through difficult times and have worked much harder to repay my community for it, for those that offered me the support I needed when I needed it. A community is built upon its civil goodness not the trashy reports I read in these articles posted by people who hide their names. I question the agenda and honesty and hope more builders with the creativity offered by Outback Design are able to find success in a difficult market.
