Sears Home Services appliance repair is a terrible service I would not recommend to anyone. We've had them do good work, so this is not a review in which I had one bad experience and am going off on a tangent. Our recent experience, however, was so bad that I simply could not recommend them to anyone. First off, their customer service is useless. You can only chat online or call a help number in India, and if there is a bigger issue than that, there is NO way to escalate it to higher management. It's got to be what Soviet style repair work would be like!
Second, the quality of their work and the pace is awful. It can take a week or more to schedule a repair, and then more time to get a part, and then another week to schedule the install.in our recent case, after nearly a month, they replaced the part they said was not working (and charged us $372. The machine was STILL not working when they left, however, and after waiting another couple weeks to schedule yet another visit, they failed to show despite claiming they'd called and come to the door (neither of which happened). That's happened before with them, so at this point I've simply had it. NEVER use Sears. I am in the process of disputing the charge because it's clear they cannot deliver. I don't know why I should pay interest in almost $400 when they can't complete the job.
