We purchased a garage door opener from Sears on 12/28 and paid to have it installed on 1/3.3 days after the installation it stopped working. I found that the garage door bumped the bracket holding the safety sensor whenever it opened or closed, causing it to be jarred and no longer see the other sensor, preventing the door from opening or closing. I called the installation people to arrange the repair on 1/9 and my wife took time off from work for it and nobody showed up. She called the number of the installers, and the person taking the call laughed at her and said some pretty abusive things. My wife then called another Sears phone number to try to talk to someone else and was given an appointment for 1/10. I took time off from work, and again nobody showed up. I received a recorded phone call that evening (last night) saying I should call to reschedule. I called Sears today to complain, and now to avoid losing more work time, it is scheduled for Saturday 1/19,8 days from now. I paid $110.00 for this (lack of) service? Never again.
