Never again will I buy HP! - HP Pavilion

I feel I must tell HP of my huge disappointment in your product. I bought a PC system and laptop (both HP) 1 year and 5 months ago. Within the past two weeks, both systems have crashed, with an estimate of $772 to replace both the motherboard and hard drive on the PC and between $400-$800 to fix the laptop, depending on the exact hardware problem, which I will not pay to have diagnosed. I contacted customer support since it had only, at that time, been 4 months past the warranty period to see what HP would do to help us with these problems. I was told that no service will be provided under warranty since the warranty had run out. Since it had been such a short period post-warranty I really thought HP would stand behind its name. Unfortunately, it did not. And unfortunately, because of our horrible experience with these computers and now having to pay between $1000-$2000 for a new PC and a new laptop, HP has lost our business forever. I will never again purchase any HP product. I have had other computers for up to seven years before replacing, out of choice, not need, and never had any problem with them. Sorry HP, you have lost a customer in my family and we will spread the word to all those we know NOT to purchase HP computers or other products. They simply are not worth it, and the company does not stand behind its name.
