Consumer Report

I was having a problem with my CD/DVD and purchased Driver Detective. First, they have billed me for an additional $9.99 for extended coverage that I did not request. When this failed to solve the problem, I was advised to use TechLiveSupport to fix my computer. They did a very hard sell and gave me a hard time for wanting the less expense servce. As was mentioned in another complaint, I was on the telephone with three technicians (all very hard to understand and loud background noise) from around 11:30 am to after 6 pm. The first two said they would call me back after doing research into the problem, but never did.By the time the second technician finished, my computer no longer worked at all and would not even start. He followed directions he found on 'google' and removed something from the dvd driver. The third technician had me put in the Windows start up disc, which stopped at about 27%. He says there is a scratch in the disc causing the problem and that I need to buy a new one. However, I do not trust anything they say. I have spent over $200 and have a worthless computer. This is either a scam or they are just incompetent.
