Circuitboard Computers
LIES, LIES, LIES, Lazy Lying Technicians. Repair ripoff!

My Gosh. These people were a joke. My computer was turning off over and over again on it's own. After calling DELL and them instructing me to purchase a new hard drive, it still did not work.

Instead of paying dell's $215 service charge, I went to ciruitboard computers to have them fix my computer. I informed the technician that I purchased a BRAND new hard drive so I knew that there was no virus. Also, being a college student, I requested my computer be fixed as soon as possible. The technician said it would take about 5 days.

So, after 5 days. I went up there to see if it was ready. They said no. And now they had no clue when it would be. Said their technician was going to START looking on it that day. So pretty much my computer sat around in their store for 5 days. Untouched.

Attempting to be patient, I told them how much I needed it ASAP. They told me that more than likely they would have to order a part from DELL to fix it. (This is impossible. I now know that DELL doesn't ship out parts to independant businesses or customers. Ofcourse Circuitboard wouldn't know this...)

Eventually after repeatedly going back up to check on my computer almost every day (still given to estimate on when they would finish looking at it... After another 9 days (14 days total) I went up and they said they had finally finished. The man comes out with my computer saying he installed spyware on my computer and wiped a virus off and now my computer was working perfect. HA!

I told him it was a brand new hard drive and there was no way that, I had a virus. He responded with an "oh"... And then stated that the computer had been running all day and not turned off once. But he told me if it continued to be a problem, to bring it back and he'd fix it again. I was forced to cough up 50 bucks for them to take 14 days to 'fix' my problem.

Pessimistically, when I got home... Computer turned off within 10 minutes of being on. There was no way it 'was running all day long' like i was said... And there was certainly no virus on the brand new hard drive.

After losing 50 bucks, waiting 2 weeks, and then getting lied to and ripped off... I went through DELL and paid the high price and got it fixed within 3 days.

My laptop comp's fan was dirty. That was the problem that was impossible for circuitboard to figure out.

LIES, LIES, LIES. Lazy Lying Technicians.

I've now heard other stories from computer places around the area. Beware of circuitboard computer repairs. You will be out of money, out of time, patience... And your problem will still not be fixed.
