Complaint / Review
West Valley Auto Plaza
If being lied to and treated poorly means not being jerked around, we would rather be jerked around!

We are writing this as an official complaint against West Valley Auto Plaza and the poor service that we have received from them. It seems strange that a company whose logo is been jerked around? Come see us we will not jerk you around, jerks you around more than any other dealership!

We purchased a car from them on December 30 and have had nothing but problems with the dealership since. Due to our credit situation we were told that we would need more money down or a co-signer. We had a friend who was willing to help, so we went with a co-signer. We signed all of the paper work on the 30th and traded in our van which we had a title loan on. When they asked what we owed on the van we said 2,500 but if it could take up to twenty days to pay it off we should put 2,800 to be safe. Alex the sales man told us not to worry and
that we would be fine putting 2,500 and if it was more it would be taken care of. The vehicle came with a GPS but was missing the navigation DVD, they signed an we owe you document promising that they would get this to us. We left with the car and felt like things had gone well.

About three days later they called asking us to come back out and sign again because they had gotten us a better rate with another bank. So we once again drove out and signed where they wanted us to sign. We were also told at this time that because the loan was through University Credit Union our co-signer and we, would each be given an account with them. We left once again with papers signed and no DVD but where told it had been ordered. On January 10 we got another call asking us to come out and sign papers again, because they had misspelled
our names. This time when we got there we were informed that my husband could not go on the loan because he only had a driving privilege card. This was a first; we were not even warned that this might happen with a driving privilege card. From the first day we walked in we told them that he had a driving privilege card, we were told that it was no problem. The whole point of having both of us on the loan was so that he could start to build up credit. Lucky for us he had gone and gotten his regular drivers license that day. They told us where to sign once again, but this time we paid more attention and discovered that they had our friend signing as the primary and us as the co-signer. So now our friend is the owner of a car she did not want. They repeatedly assured us that we were all on the loan and it would be reported to all of our credit scores. Once again we left without the DVD, which sales for $223.36 including shipping. They told us that they had ordered it that day and it should be in, in five to ten days. This is funny because they told us it had already been ordered eleven days ago.
We then went to the credit union to see why we had not received any paper work about our new account. It turns out that the only one who got an account was our friend. We were now members but without an account, so we had to open one on our own. We opened it, but it does not show we even have a car loan with them, which makes it a little
hard to make automatic payments. We are now in the process of working this issue out with the bank. Meantime we get a call from West Valley saying that we owe them $326.16 on the van we traded in. The car sales men knew that if he put 2,500, rather than the 2,800 we asked him to put we would end up owing them money. Had we not had to sign three times due to their mistakes it would also have been less, because it would have been done sooner. We went out once again to talk to the sales manager about it. He assured us he would talk to the sales
person and look into waiving the payment or have us only pay half.in the end we still do not have the DVD, we have now received a bill for the full amount, the sales manager Dustin will not return our phone calls, and our co-signer is the primary on a car she does not drive or pay for. I guess you could say We have been seriously jerked around.
