I was refered to Lakeshore Chevrolet by a cousin, she has now been disowned.
I went in on a Friday morning to look for a nice pre-owned but fairly new car. I chose a 2004 Chevy Malibu low miles and nice looking too. I actually chose three cars the sales men told me I had to so they could see which one the bank would finance for me. He went into what appeared to be a finance office, he kept coming out telling me they said this or they said that. I thought he was talking about the bank, at that time. After about 4 hours of this we came to an agreement about the down payment and monthly notes. It's like 9:30pm at this ponit. Finally I get into the finance office and sign all the papers it's so late and I'm so tired. I didn't read all the fine print. That was the biggest mistake I ever made.
Two weeks later I get a call from the car sales men, telling me I have to bring the car back because the bank wouldn't finance me. Ok I take the car back and tell them to give me the check back from my down payment, which they had already cashed. The sales men says, no I have to offer you a newer car and see if you can get a co-signer. I say no to the new car and I maybe able to get a co-signer. I call my potential co-signer and she says, yel I'll co-sign for you. The car sales men drives me to her house with the papers she need to sign. She signs the papers and gives him the info he needs. We go back to the car lot and they send me home again with the car.
Three days later they call me agina and say we need to come up and sign the fianl papers. I knew there was something wrong at the time of signing because I signed all the papers under her signature. I asked the guy, is this car going to be in her name because she signing at the top he said, "no, it's your car going in your name, she just the co-signer and it doesn't matter who signs where".
A few days later the bank call to verify the info and they tell my co-signer that she is the primary. I call Lake Shore and talk to the guy and he said that he told me she would be the primary. BOLD FACE LIAR! Is what I called him and hung up.
I've been calling to talk to the general manager and have not been able to get him on the phone.
They are thirsty, liars at this car lot and I wouldn't refer my worst enemy.
