Unauthorized check cashing

I wrote a check from my account to pay a car payment for a relative. I made the mistake of not writing the account number on the check. But, they cashed the check anyway. I personally don't have an active account with Capital One so I want to know where is my money.

There is no telephone number to contact anyone personally to disgust the situation. Any now they are calling my relative about their car payment. They won't speak to anyone other than the person named on the account when they call the house.
