This is the beginning of the story. I took my car into get an oil change a month prior to this incident. I requested to have my tires rotated. When I got my report back, they suggested I needed new brakes, rotors, and rear brakes cleaned. I agreed, but would have the work done a later date. I was quoted around 230.00.
I went and purchased the parts at Autozone for 72.00 and was going to have my roommate change them out for me. We went to pull the tire from the car and noticed one of the lugs had been stripped, we tried the other tire and the same thing had occurred. So I called them and informed them and they said they would check it out. They stripped them when they rotated my tires. We went up there and sure enough two lugs were stripped and broke off. I was to return the following morning to get replacements. So they checked the other ones and they were fine. We get back home to attempt to change the brakes and they did it again. The same thing. One of the lugs was stripped after checking them. It was getting ridiculous.
So I called up there and Lou told me to come up there in the morning and they would take care of them. It would take about an hour. He failed to tell me they would have to order the parts. I dropped my car off at 7:00 and came back around 8:30 and noticed my car was not ready. Maurice said "i don't know why you came at 7:00 because the parts store doesn't open till 8:00 and we had to order the parts." The parts finally showed up and I believe the time was around 9:30 when the car was finally ready.
Meantime... Maurice felt like I was taking my frustrations out on him so I apologized but explained to him that I was the one inconvenienced because I had to be late to work for your company's mistakes. He acted very poorly towards me.
Anyway... I went to get in my car and I couldn't open my door. I proceeded to ask what happened to my door handle and they were surprised. One of the technicians came out and looked at and I had to get back to work so I was just going to call their boss later.
I called Maurice and they flat out lied. They said the technician opened the door, and then when he tried again he couldn't open it. They never told me before getting into my car. He never tried because he acted like he didn't know what was going on when I tried before.
Bottom line!!! They are not for the consumer... They are out for themselves. I was not offered any kind of compensation for the inconvenience I experienced and was treated very poorly. I will NEVER go to this place again. I have went to them before and been very satisfied with service, but this absolutley draws the line. They basically told me it was normal wear and tear on the car and that it would have happened if I opened it next. My door handle was fine 2 hours before I brought it in.
I have a call into the district manager but don't feel confident I will get resolution.
