Messed up on my lug nuts

May 22 So I went to Tire Kingdom for the first time to get my tires changed and a alignment. Everything was going well and the guy just started to put all the tires on. I noticed that he was using a impact gun (not a good tool when putting the lugs back on. Lugs could cross thread over the studs or over tightening the lugs to the point were the studs get weak and break off while driving) instead of using his hands or a ratchet to screw the lugs on first. So the car was finished and I paid and drove it home. So I go home and I get a torque wrench and a breaker bar out from the tool box. So I put the socket on and breaker bar on each lug nuts to break them loose so I could torque them down to the right torque specs. So I started at the front left wheel. The First 3 were fine until I got to the 4th lug. I barely put pressure on the lug nut and it snapped off. I immediately check the rest of the lugs. The 2 rear wheels where good but the front right wheel had one lug nut that was stuck. I just stopped to prevent breaking the lug. So I kept that one on to prove to them that the lug was either cross threaded or over tighten. I called the placed and they said that they always uses a torque wrench on every car. I told him I stood in front of the window and witnessed the guy just impacting it down. He said ok come on down and we'll fix it. I took a back road to get there to prevent the car from wobbling out of control and losing a wheel. I get there and asked them if they were gonna fix it. They agreed and took the car to get the studs replaced. The mechanic took the wheel off and came out to the counter to order the stud. I asked him if the other lug nut that was stuck broke off and he said yea it did. It took them about a hour to finish and it was returned to me. If I never checked those lugs Tire Kingdom probably would've blame me if I were to bring it up later on. The lugs could have broken off during a long road trip and possibly lose a wheel (I have 4 lugs on each tire. So would you drive with 3 lugs instead of 4? ALWAYS check your lug nuts after every tire change, rotation or patch work. Tire Kingdom Is the worst Maintenance/tire replacement place I have ever went too. I don't recommend going there. It will be my first and my last time going there.
