Local resident has tried unsuccessful to work with GMAC on a leased vehicle by either extending the lease or refinancing to lower payments due to being unemployed for one year and has been told after numerous phone calls that there is nothing they can do for this person. Email was sent to Vice President with reply to contact Customer Service... They cannot do anything.
One phone call stated that they would speak to a supervisor who would contact me within 72 hours. After three phone calls to see why person hadn't been contacted was told that they would put it on priority and someone would definitely contact this person. Nothing to date.
Time frame: 7 months.
Called dealer who could not do anything for me on a leased vehicle due to the fact that they are not allowed.
Have disability insurance on vehicle but it does not cover Unemployment. Every attempt has been made to resolve this matter to no avail. Person is not looking for a "free" pass just some assistance in lowering monthly payments! Most finance companies are now offering relief to millions who are unemployed due to the state of the economy. Why not GMAC? It is a sad state when you are trying to work with a company to pay and they are not willing to work with you...
No where to turn... No relief for Unemployed! Deplorable!!
