We sold a house in March. A second mortgage held by GMAC was paid off at closing. GMAC has reported us as delinquent on payments due the following May and June. We have provided documentation of the payoff including the HUD settlement sheet. GMAC refuses to correct their error. There is no way to contact a responsible person at GMAC. We are having to move and are applying for a new mortgage... Not with GMAC needless to say. While GMAC has been stalling the rates have gone up. This will cost us money for decades to come.
